Kirby Anderson

       A native of Gilroy, California, Kirby received his Viticulture degree from UC Davis before venturing out into the world of winemaking. After a few years in the wine business, he decided to follow a different calling, and embarked on a career in acting and movie-making, eventually realizing that his real love was winemaking. 

       Kirby's re-entry into the wine business was fortunately under the French-trained winemaker Don Blackburn at Bernardus in Monterey County, where he was the assistant winemaker for four years. After a brief stint at La Crema in Sonoma County, Kirby joined us as winemaker in July of 1997, and has since produced vintage after vintage of award-winning wines.
