We have been fans of Gainey for a long time! Years ago were able to do a Jeep winetasting tour out to a barn, so we stopped by today hoping for the same experience. We had a great time. We stopped by on Sunday afternoon without a reservation but they were able to fit us in. All the people we interacted with were great but special shout-out to Raymond who assisted us. He told us all about the wine, the vineyard, and the family. He answered all our many questions and we never felt rushed or pressured to buy. He was super friendly and entertaining with his stories. Thank you!

The tasting room and shop was beautiful and roomy. We were super comfortable indoors and it was never overcrowded. They had a bunch of non wine products in the gift shop that sounded yummy too. We ended up purchasing a few bottles, had a great experience, and a better understanding of wine and Gainey. We will definitely be recommending others and revisiting when we're out there again.

The range in their wine was great (we visited Aug 2022). Some light, some heavier, a variety to fit your moods and tastes. I loved their Syrah. I could see myself just drinking it on it's own, but it's still full enough to have with food. Their rose and sauvignon blanc were refreshing and crispy. The SB had a light fruitiness but not sweet, a little tang but not overly acidic or sour. Think, a fresh sweet green apple. It was noted it that has a guava note and we 100% agree.

I've now participated in two virtual tastings, both hosted by Emily, and they have both been stellar. Since the most recent one was yesterday, I'll focus on that one here. We got six mini bottles with the virtual tasting, and they arrived in a small box along with instructions. Our virtual tasting was split between two different households, but Gainey made it really easy to have a combined virtual tasting while shipping kits to two different locations.

The Zoom room link worked as planned, and Emily was ready at the start. Not only is she very knowledgeable about the wines, but she is also very friendly and engaging. The wine tasting was not only informative but also a lot of fun thanks to Emily. All six of the wines we had (Rosé of Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah) were excellent. It was interesting not only to learn about these wines but also the history and locations of Gainey and how the different locations of the vineyards and the associated climate differences affect what is able to grow there. To summarize, Emily went above and beyond to make sure that we had an amazing tasting experience from the comfort of our own homes.

If you're looking for a virtual tasting experience, Gainey is definitely it! I'm pretty sure the wines change fairly frequently, so you might not get exactly what we did, but I imagine that all of their wines are stellar
